A Message From ACMA's President

Dear ACMA Regents, Chairs, Past Presidents, and Fellows:

Welcome, welcome, welcome! On behalf of ACMA’s Executive Committee and staff, I hope you will attend the 2018 ACMA Annual Meeting, from October 11–13, at The Ritz-Carlton, Dove Mountain Resort in Tucson, Arizona. With an ability to embody the heart and soul of its Sonoran Desert surroundings, the resort offers a sanctuary of natural beauty framed against the Tortolita Mountains. This luxury Southwest resort allows guests to discover how easy it is to be inspired by the land revered by the Hohokam Indian inhabitants of centuries past. Thank you to Don and Laura Shindler for selecting such a wonderful location where all ACMA fellows and their guests are welcome.

Our meeting begins on Thursday with the State and Provincial Chairs and Board of Regents Meetings and, for invited in-house counsel only, our famous Corporate Counsel Symposium. Everyone will then gather for a reception that evening, followed by optional dine-arounds. Friday and Saturday mornings will feature CLE sessions that have been months in the planning (thank you Program Committee!), and on Friday afternoon you can participate in the Annual Dave Lombard Memorial Golf Tournament or the newly named Annual Mini-Links and Drinks Event. Alternatively, you can enjoy the many amenities and tours available. Friday evening will feature a reception, followed by our Annual Dinner and New Fellows Induction Ceremony. Our meeting will conclude on Saturday evening with a final reception and dine-arounds to cap off a day of CLE and optional tours and other activities. We are also scheduling time for committee meetings and some special events for new fellows, including a New Fellows Orientation.

Information about the hotel and meeting registration forms can be found on the tabs that accompany this message. Please plan to join your colleagues and guests at the 2018 ACMA Annual Meeting, and make your hotel reservations early to take advantage of the ACMA room block. We look forward to seeing you in Tucson in October.

Kindly,

Alec G. Nedelman
ACMA President

Remember, every day is a good day, but some days are better. And a day spent with fellows ... is the best!
