Dear ACMA Regents, Chairs, Past Presidents, and Fellows:
On behalf of ACMA’s Executive Committee and staff, I hope you will attend the 2018 ACMA Board of Regents Meeting to be held April 26-28, 2018, at The Ritz-Carlton, Marina del Rey in Marina del Rey, California. The hotel is only 10–15 minutes from Los Angeles International Airport, so access should be easy for everyone. All ACMA Fellows and their guests are invited and encouraged to attend.
The opening reception is Thursday evening at the resort, followed by a Dine Around. On Friday morning, there will be the State and Provincial Chairs meeting, and all Fellows are welcome to attend that meeting. Following the State and Provincial Chair Meeting, many of the ACMA committees will meet, after which you will have time to enjoy bicycling, sailing, visiting local museums and shops, or enjoying any of the other varied activities in or near Marina del Rey. Friday evening, you can enjoy sweeping views of the harbor at a poolside reception and dinner at the resort.
On Saturday morning, the Board of Regents will meet and, again, all Fellows are welcome to attend. Many of the committees, including the new Vision Committee, the new Speakers Bureau, and the new Sponsorship Committee, have been very active and we look forward to their reports. Following the Board of Regents Meeting, there will be more committee meetings, and in the afternoon, you can continue to enjoy the many activities offered.
The Ritz-Carlton, Marina del Rey, is elegantly perched on one of the largest man-made marinas in the world. It offers guests easy access to Los Angeles as well as a tranquil seaside hideaway escape. Enjoy the vibrant lifestyle of Southern California from one of Los Angeles’ finest luxury hotels to call the waterfront home. Minutes from area beaches, the distinctive Marina del Rey hotel also offers easy access to many of the area’s cultural, artistic and premium shopping options.
Information about the hotel and meeting registration forms are enclosed. Please plan to join your colleagues and guests at the 2018 Board of Regents Meeting, and make your hotel reservations early to take advantage of the ACMA room block. We look forward to seeing you in Marina del Rey in April.
