Fellowship in ACMA is by nomination only. Any
Fellow in good standing may sponsor the written nomination of a
qualified lawyer who has substantial experience in real estate law
and has distinguished herself/himself by publications, presentations,
bar association activities, teaching (other than as the Candidate's
primary occupation), or participation in the legislative process.
There are six classes of membership in ACMA: Fellows, Academic Fellows,
Judicial Fellows, Honorary Fellows, Lifetime Fellows and Senior
Fellows.
There are many benefits to joining ACMA, including
continuing education credits, access to current legal and legislative
developments; and friendship, networking and contacts with other
lawyers around the country. Fellows may list their ACMA membership
as part of their biographical resumes in Martindale-Hubbell Law
Directory.
ACMA Fellows also receive the ACMA ABSTRACT,
which is published twice yearly. The ABSTRACT serves to alert Fellows
to significant statutory, regulatory, and case law developments,
and contains high-quality articles on subjects affecting the practices
of the Fellows. It also informs the Fellows of activities of ACMA,
its Board of Regents and staff.
In order to help Fellows stay abreast of proposed
legislative or executive action which might impact mortgage attorneys,
ACMA retains Washington, D.C. counsel. If important legislation
or executive action of interest to the Fellows is pending, ACMA
will contact its Fellows so that the appropriate individual action
can be considered.

the nomination process, please contact us at acma@mgmtsol.com.
